Helpdesk Technician

Full-time position based out of Woodstock, GA location.

About ASC Group: ASC Group, a growing IT managed service provider located in Woodstock, GA, is hiring for the position of Senior Systems Engineer. We have been in business for 25 years and offer many years of experience and stability with deep connections in the NW GA market that we serve. We are targeting mid-market companies that need an IT department supplement for their IT department.

 

Position Summary

The Helpdesk Analyst is responsible for handling first level support of service requests in a first-class professional manner. Support for clients relates to all technology: workstations, servers, printers, networks, phone systems, telephones, and vendor specific hardware and software.

 

Expectations/Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical difficulties with hardware, software, and telephones.
  • Follow standard help desk procedures.
  • Document and communicate all issues from within the ticketing system.
  • Responsible for entering notes, time, and expenses in real-time (as it occurs).
  • Set proper expectations with customers and follow through.
  • Identify and escalate situations within appropriate timelines for the urgency of the situation.
  • Handle workstation issues including active directory, hardware, backups, security, OS, etc.
  • Complete new user accounts, user terminations, email creations, and remote access request.
  • Monitor and proactively assist clients with outages.
  • Set up new workstations for our customer base.
  • Troubleshoot virus’s, malware, spyware, adware, and worms and understand ransomware.
  • Recognize ongoing issues and be proactive in resolution and customer notification.
  • Recognize and report when a customer is using outdated equipment.
  • Be cost savvy when assisting customers.
  • Communicate with customers as required: keeping them informed of incident progress, notifying them of impending changes or agreed outages.
  • Stay current with system information, changes and updates.

 

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS THIS POSITION REQUIRES:

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • College degree preferred but not required.
  • 2+ years of helpdesk or customer service experience, required.
  • Advanced skills with using Windows and web-based applications, including Microsoft Office.
  • Proactively provide first class customer service and support.
  • Respond promptly and professionally with prospects, customers and fellow team members.
  • Ability to speak and write in the English language, clearly, informatively, and completely on all tickets and customer communications.
  • Ability to understand and follow directions and problem solve basic IT related issues with regards to operating systems, business applications, printing systems, and network systems.
  • Have a high level of integrity and morale.
  • Clear understanding of support tools, techniques, and how technology is used to provide IT services.
  • Ability to identify and diagnose technical issues.
  • Ability to multi-task and adapt to changes quickly.
  • High level of attention to detail.
  • Typing skills to ensure quick and accurate entry of service request details.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and communicate effectively.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work in a fast moving, sometimes high stress environment.

 

PHYSICAL AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to function in high-pressure situations.
  • Manual dexterity to operate a computer.
  • Correctable vision and hearing.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Clear, easy to understand oral communication ability.

Inside Sales Associate

Part-time position based out of Woodstock, GA location.

 

About ASC Group: ASC Group, a growing IT managed service provider located in Woodstock, GA, is hiring for the position of Inside Sales Associate. We have been in business for 25 years and offer many years of experience and stability with deep connections in the NW GA market that we serve.   

 

Position Summary

Inside Sales Associate (ISA) supports the leadership staff and infrastructure ASC Group has put into place to pursue its next level of growth. The primary role will be support of sales with lead identification, research, and preliminary prospecting activity thru daily telephone call outreach. The ISA will also schedule appointments and introductions with the leadership calendars.   The ISA will follow up on in a timely manner that account development efforts are being progressed.

 

Expectations/Responsibilities

 

  • To follow up on leads that have come in using the company’s lead follow-up process to qualify them, classify and route them to the right person, update their information in the CRM and ultimately schedule a consult where appropriate.

  • To make 50 outbound dials per day to follow up on various marketing campaigns we’ve sent to prospects to schedule a consult and/or to call on leads that have been generated to schedule a consult.

 

  • To personally produce and schedule a minimum of 2 qualified appointments per week that sit for our senior sales team.



  • To call and confirm appointments to reduce no-shows.

  • To assist in rescheduling clients who request to reschedule or cancel or who no-show for their appointment (consult).

  • To prepare and send the company’s Shock and Awe materials to prospects that have booked a new consult.

  • To update all records in the company’s CRM with accurate and complete information. This will include using the dialer to record calls, keeping good records of conversations in the record itself, updating the status of leads accurately, etc. NOTE: Tracking requirements may change based on the list used, offer made, changes to the follow-up process, etc.

  • To use the company’s database, LinkedIn and other resources to find prospects and set appointments for our sales team.

  • To assist in any manner possible the staffing of our events; this may include working the product table or the registration desk, customer service and assisting in the production of the event.

  • To be a careful understudy of the sales team and learn all products, price points and promotions so you can assist in closing sales. This will require a detailed knowledge of all products, including sponsorship projects, webinars, speaking engagements, etc.
  • On site attendance at the weekly sales meeting, usually done on Tuesday mornings, to report key metrics and activity for the previous week. 

 

  • Other duties as assigned.

 

 

 

 

SKILLS THIS POSITION REQUIRES:

  • Extreme attention to detail and being highly organized. In this role, making sure all fields are updated correctly in the database is critical.

  • Excellent project and time management skills.

  • Ability to work to meet deadlines, (often) under pressure.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Ability to use Microsoft Excel, CRM systems and Microsoft Office.

 

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required if all other experience requirements are met. 

 

  • Experience with sales support activity.  

 

  • 20+ weekly hours minimum on-site at the Woodstock office with flexible work hours. 

 

 

Note: Qualified college students or new college graduates with prior internship exposure to most of the items above will be considered.

In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing IT infrastructure solutions that meet the needs of our clients. You will work closely with clients to understand their unique requirements and provide tailored solutions, ensuring optimal performance, security, and compliance. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in systems engineering and a passion for delivering exceptional client service.

Expectations/Responsibilities

 

  • Design, implement, and manage IT infrastructure solutions, including servers, storage, networks, and cloud services.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers and internal IT staff.
  • Collaborate with clients to assess their IT needs and develop customized solutions that align with their business objectives.
  • Oversee the deployment and management of Microsoft Office 365, Microsoft Azure, and other cloud-based services.
  • Implement and manage advanced endpoint security tools.
  • Ensure robust data protection through Managed Backup and Disaster Recovery solutions, utilizing Datto and Axcient technologies.
  • Maintain compliance with industry standards and regulations through Compliance as a Service (CaaS).
  • Provide expertise in hybrid cloud environments and virtualization technologies, including VMware and HPE Servers.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues in a timely manner.
  • Document systems configurations, processes, and procedures for knowledge sharing and compliance purposes.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS THIS POSITION REQUIRES:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in systems engineering, preferably in a managed services or consulting environment.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office 365, Microsoft Azure, VMware, and HPE server environments.
  • Experience with cybersecurity solutions, including SentinelOne, Threatlocker, and Fortinet.
  • Proficiency in remote management and monitoring (RMM) tools.
  • Familiarity with compliance frameworks and standards relevant to professional services industries.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a focus on client service and collaboration.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect, CompTIA Security+, VMware Certified Professional) are a plus.
